Why use a Moving Blanket? To Save Yourself A Headache
Most people chose to be self-movers when they move from one home to another.
But just because you’re doing the job yourself, doesn’t mean that you can’t
do the job like a professional. Most professional’s recommend using moving
blanket’s to protect larger items such as couches, chairs, tables, antiques,
bed frames, mattresses, and other large household items.
When looking for a good quality moving blanket, you may need to know a few things. First, they are different than just your average bed blanket. They are made of a heavy woven fabric, usually with padding between each layer. As with most items, there are various degrees of padding available, the premium moving blankets are very heavy duty and will protect antiques and expensive furniture during a move.
They are also great when storing
furniture offering protection against environmental elements. The more
economical blankets have less padding, usually lighter to carry and fold.
They do, however, offer the customer great protection, as well. |
The best way to move is to prepare for it in advance. Ask your realtor for advice on hiring a moving company. Mark each box with the room name so you can put it in the right place when you move in. It makes no sense moving boxes twice.
